Behind the Badge!
Get an inside look at the exciting world of first responders! Join Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Tennessee Valley for a one-of-a-kind career day experience at the Huntsville Police Training Academy. Bigs, Littles, and families will go beyond the badge for a hands-on day of exploration, learning, and inspiration — meeting the men and women who serve and protect our community every day.
What to Expect: Come face to face with Huntsville's finest as you meet police officers, firefighters, canine units, drone operators, and other first responders up close. Get a close look at fire trucks and emergency vehicles, then hear directly from first responders about their careers and what it takes to serve the community. The day also features a drone racing workshop where attendees will get hands-on experience with drone technology and learn how the Huntsville Police Department and other first responders utilize drones in real-world operations. Whether your Little dreams of a career in public safety or is simply curious about the world around them, this event is packed with inspiration and excitement for every age. Snacks will be provided for all attendees.
Who Can Attend: This event is open to all currently matched Bigs, Littles, and families, as well as families currently on the waitlist.
