Signals Museum Build and Explore Workshop (STEAMfest Special Event for BBBSTV)

Join us for an exclusive after-hours adventure at the Signals Museum! This special STEM workshop offers BBBSTV matches and waitlisted youth a unique opportunity to explore, learn, and create. This unique opportunity combines hands-on learning with museum exploration, giving young people exposure to STEM fields while having fun with their Big or alongside other program participants.

What to Expect:

Guided Museum Tour: Take a special after-hours tour of the Signals Museum with expert guides

Hands-On Building: Construct your own crystal radio to take home

Interactive Learning: Participate in engaging activities led by the Nutty Scientist

Dinner:  Pizza will be provided for all participants

Who Can Attend: BBBSTV matches, waitlisted youth, prospective bigs, and family members

Cost: FREE (funded by Alabama STEM Council)

When: October 21st  from 5:30pm to 8:00pm

Event Details: This STEM workshop is proudly funded by the Alabama STEM Council and represents the first in a series of STEM and workforce development events hosted by Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Tennessee Valley. This event is presented in partnership with STEAMfest, Alabama's week-long celebration of science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics.
